This talk will address the historical origins and modern implications of the Controlled Substances Act. Topics will include the cultural and political motivations that led to the "War on Drugs," how America has been shaped by over a century of drug prohibitions, and how current state legislation initiatives are reshaping how Americans think about and use drugs.
