Art Deco to Café Cubano: A Miami Cultural Getaway    NEW!

Get ready to immerse yourself in the color, flavor, and cultural complexity of one of Florida’s most iconic cities. This four-night, five-day adventure will transport you from the Gulf Coast to the vibrant streets of Miami, where past and present dance together in every mural, museum, and market.

Art Deco

From the sweeping lines of South Beach’s Art Deco architecture to the rhythmic heartbeat of Little Havana, we’ll explore the people, stories, and movements that have shaped Miami into a global crossroads of art, history, and innovation. Our days will be filled with curated experiences and the itinerary highlights include:

  • Private talk from noted Miami historian George Nealy
  • Private walking tour of the Art Deco District of South Beach

Note: This program is best suited for active adults who are comfortable walking for 30–60 minutes at a time, sometimes over uneven surfaces such as cobblestone streets or market areas. The itinerary includes using public transportation, we’ll walk to stations, may encounter stairs, and will get on and off buses. Participants should be in good health and able to navigate a full day of cultural exploration at a steady pace for multiple days.

Refund Policy

Please note that the refund policy for travel is different from the regular OLLI course cancellation and refund policy. 

Refund requests must be made in writing by emailing Judy Tilton, tiltonjd@eckerd.edu.

Requests received:

  • 90 days or more before departure date — 100% refund (minus $150)
  • 60 days before departure date — 50% refund
  • 45 days before departure date — 25% refund
  • <45 days before departure date — 0% refund

No refund will be issued for the following:

  • If a participant fails to make departure.
  • If a participant leaves the program early.

All registrations canceled less than 90 days prior to departure will be assessed a $150 administrative fee.

    August 1 the price increases to $2,300/pp 

    A $500 deposit is required to reserve your spot. Please note that $150 of this deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance of your deposit (and registration fee) may be refundable according to our cancellation policy and timeline (see Refund Policy). The balance is due no later than September 26, 2025. 

    This tour will run with a minimum of 15. Should the number fall below 15, all funds paid to Eckerd College will be refunded prior to scheduled departure date.
