Turbulent Sixties: A Nation Forever Changed

In the 1960’s America underwent a metamorphosis as radical as any decade in history. Change was evident in every facet of our daily lives from hair length to fashions, how we viewed our neighbors, what we thought of our government institutions and even the music we listened to. The decade began with the hope of the Kennedy Administration, then suffered with his assassination; we endured the angst of the War in Vietnam, major urban riots and the continuing struggle for Civil Rights. But it was also the decade of the Beatles, of Woodstock, and the so-called “Summer of Love” and ended with the mankind's greatest scientific achievement – landing on the moon. Our sessions will recall this roller-coaster ride of issues and events and the new values that transformed our national psyche forever.
