Collage – the juxtaposition of various images glued on a canvas – was beloved by the Surrealists who prized the often-unexpected imagery the art form created. Frida Kahlo used the technique in her illustrated diary. In this hands-on workshop, after author and editor Margo Hammond presents a brief history of the collage in art, you will be invited to create the first page of your own visual memoir, by combining the art of the collage with the power of the written word.
