Exploring the "Land of the Southern Slavs"

Dr. Michael Kahn leads students through the epic and complex history of this portion of the Balkan peninsula, Adriatic Sea, and former Yugoslavia. Out of the ashes and heartbreak of hundreds of years of wars and conflicts among multiple cultures, ethnicities, and religions, seven new, independent nations have arisen. Kahn recently visited the area and shares travel and culture observations, anecdotes, maps, and photos. For several decades we have heard about Kosovo, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik and more, and of the people such as the Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks, Marshal Tito, and the infamous Slobadan Milosovec. Now, finally, you’ll know and understand what all the “fuss” was about!
