Medical professionals face ethical dilemmas every day. Their responses to these challenges may be defined for them by federal or state laws or guided by ethical standards in the health care community. This course discusses ethical dilemmas faced by medical professionals and the ethics that guide them. Topics may include patient confidentiality (HIPAA), informed consent, and end-of-life care.
