Project Gemini: A Bridge to the Moon

Project Mercury was to get man into space, but with President Kennedy's proposal to go to the moon a new spacecraft would be needed to train astronauts for lunar missions. Gemini was a spacecraft to teach astronauts the skills they needed.  Gemini for the United States would demonstrate EVA, docking, orbital intercepting and long flights. The Gemini astronauts would land on the moon. This course will be a study of the Gemini program and how it helped the USA to the moon.
